Anthony Salerno

With more than 20 years experience in professional liability defense, Anthony has significant skill in the representation of professional clients involved in many areas of medical, dental, optometric, and ancillary medical specialties. He has also actively practiced in hospital and medical group institutional negligence defense, civil rights defense, professional licensing defense.

Anthony has defended clients in a diverse range of specialties, including emergency medicine, internal medicine, obstetrics, pediatrics, radiology, general dentistry, oral and maxillofacial surgery and nursing. Anthony’s experience is in all aspects of defense litigation from responsive pleadings through resolution at mediation or trial

Anthony was also a Special Assistant Attorney General representing the Illinois Department of transportation in condemnation proceedings.

Prior to providing professional liability defense, he practiced as an Illinois Assistant Attorney General from 1997 through 2002. He defended Illinois agencies and employees at state and federal trials in civil rights claims. In that capacity, he successfully tried several constitutional rights cases to “Not Guilty” verdicts as both first and second chair trial counsel.

Anthony received his Bachelor's Degree from Loyola University-Chicago in 1994. He then attended The John Marshall Law School (J.D. 1997). Anthony is a member of the Federal Trial Bar.
