She also represents professionals before the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, the Office of the Inspector General, the Attorney General’s Health Care Bureau, the Illinois Department of Human Rights, and the DEA. Drew practices in all state and federal courts in Illinois including the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
Drew was born in the former Yugoslavia and immigrated to the U.S. with her parents as a child. She entered Kindergarten not speaking a word of English but quickly rose to the top of her class, and earned her B.A. from the University of Chicago in 1992. She stayed in Chicago to study law at Chicago- Kent College of Law (J.D. 1996). Mindful of her own family’s path to the U.S., Drew volunteered in the law school’s immigration clinic. Drew approaches her practice with the same dedication and strong work ethic that carried her through her academic career. Drew has handled cases involving a variety of matters including medical malpractice, products liability, civil rights, federal RICO, and legal malpractice.
Drew immerses herself in the subject matter of her cases and does not consider any detail too small. Drew’s clients comment that she is available, responsive, and quick to collaborate about a new discovery in the records or a new strategy. Drew’s clients are her partners during the litigation and utilizing this team approach, she has been able to achieve victories for her clients through dismissal and verdict at trial.
Drew is fluent in Serbian, Croatian and Bosnian. She is also proficient in German.
